Your students will LOVE this sloth Valentine’s Day craft and writing activity. It’s easy and makes the perfect Valentine’s Day bulletin board!
Sloth Valentine’s Day Craft and Writing Activity
Have you noticed that sloths are all the rage right now? I love finding what’s “trending” with my students and incorporating it into the classroom.
Since a few of the students in the class I volunteer in love sloths, I decided to create a new Valentine’s day craft and writing activity that is sloth themed!
Sloth Craft
I just love this little sloth topper! Better yet, it is EASY to make. I always create with teachers and kiddos in mind. Even though it looks complex, it only requires 3 sheets of paper and a few easy peasy steps.
The heart cheeks are optional, but boy do I think they are cute! 😉
Because sloths are often tan, brown, gray, or black, you can choose which colors you want to use. If you’re up for it, you can even let the students choose their colors!
Valentine’s Day Writing
The writing portion of this sloth craftivity is really customizable, too!
There are multiple line options provided, multiple writing prompts provided, and there’s even an editable page so that you can create your own prompt!
The sloth Valentine’s Day writing prompts I’ve included are quite punny (if you ask me)!
- People I love SLOW much…
- Someone I love SLOW much…
- Things I love SLOW much…
- People I love a SLOTH…
- Someone I love a SLOTH…
- People I love a SLOTH…
Or, if you can think of better ones, you can just type in your own. 😉
I’ve included these pages as an editable PDF, so you do not need to download any fonts!
Valentine’s Day Bulletin Board
The best part? This Valentine’s Day craft and writing activity makes a fabulous Valentine’s Day Bulletin Board!
Not only will your students enjoy making their sloth craft and completing the writing prompt, they will love to see their sloth on display! I mean, who wouldn’t want to stare at these cute sloths and read about who/what students love?!
You can find this sloth themed Valentine’s day craft and writing activity in my Teachers Pay Teachers store or by clicking on the photo below!
